Final Score: Morehead State 75, Eastern Illinois 39

Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - Marsell Holden scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Morehead State Eagles in a 75-39 rout of the Eastern Illinois Panthers in Ohio Valley Conference play at Johnson Arena.

Ty Proffitt added 13 points in the win for Morehead State (16-14, 9-6 OVC), while Will Bailey contributed 12 points off the bench. Drew Kelly chipped in 10 points as well for the Eagles, while Angelo Warner pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.

Jeremy Granger scored 16 points to pace EIU (12-16, 5-10).

The Panthers were stifled to a paltry 22.7 percent clip that included an 0- for-11 performance from long range during the first period of play, opening a commanding 37-11 halftime advantage for Morehead State.

The Eagles never looked back in the second frame, hitting a blistering 57.9 percent of their attempts from the field to go with an 11-of-17 effort at the foul line to roll to a 36-point triumph.

The Panthers were held to without a three-pointer (0-for-17), and their 39- point output marked a season-low.
