NCAA Game Summary - Georgia Southern at The Citadel

Final Score: Georgia Southern 73, The Citadel 72 (OT)
Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Eric Ferguson led four players in double figures with 14 points for Georgia Southern as the Eagles took a 73-72 overtime victory over The Citadel in Southern Conference action at McAlister Field House.
Ben Drayton III and Willie Powers each had 13 points and Cameron Baskerville put in 10 for Georgia Southern (13-12, 11-4 SoCon) which has won five of six. Jelani Hewitt led the Eagles on the boards with nine rebounds.
Ashton Moore poured in 24 points for The Citadel (4-21, 1-13) which has lost its last 10. Marshall Harris added 11 and Mike Groselle had 10 as well for the Bulldogs.
The Citadel managed to hold a 37-31 advantage at the half despite shooting just 36.7 percent by outscoring Georgia Southern 13-3 from the free throw line. The Eagles converted on 44.8 percent of its shots in the opening period.
In the second half both teams improved with the Bulldogs hitting on 12-of-21 of its shots while Georgia Southern knocked down 17-of-30. The Eagles led by eight with 5:10 remaining but The Citadel ended regulation on an 8-0 run capped by a Bo Holston dunk with 14 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime with the teams tied 69-69.
The Bulldogs scored the first three points in overtime but Powers scored four straight points and Moore missed a potential game winner with three seconds remaining to give the Eagles the win.
