Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - Domonic Tilford tallied 17 points as the South Alabama Jaguars rolled to a 93-64 triumph over the Florida A&M Rattlers as part of the Billy Minardi Classic, an event hosted by Louisville.
DeAndre Coleman added 16 points and nine rebounds for South Alabama (2-1). Brandon Davis contributed 12 points, and Daniel Hayles pitched in 11 points.
Dale Hughes scored 19 points in the loss for Florida A&M (0-4), which got 18 points from Brandon Byrant.
South Alabama shot an impressive 61.3 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-8 from three-point range, en route to a 47-30 lead at intermission.
The Jaguars sealed the victory with great defense in the second half, as they limited the Rattlers to 36.1 percent shooting from the field over the final 20 minutes.
South Alabama earned a commanding 57-27 rebounding advantage in the tilt.
