=== Patriots to add Daboll to staff ===
Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator
Brian Daboll will be joining the New England Patriots' coaching staff for the
remainder of the team's postseason run, head coach Bill Belichick revealed in
a conference call on Monday.
Daboll, who also served as an offensive coordinator for Cleveland (2009-10)
and Miami (2011) prior to joining the Chiefs in 2012, will be entering his
second stint with the Patriots. The 37-year-old broke into the NFL as a
defensive assistant with New England in 2000 before being promoted to
receivers coach two years later. He spent a total of seven years with the Pats
before leaving to become the quarterbacks coach of the New York Jets under
Belichick disciple Eric Magini in 2007.
Belichick said Daboll's role for New England's remaining playoff games has yet
to be determined. The Patriots will host Baltimore in the AFC Championship on
Sunday.
Daboll spent just one year with Kansas City before being let go when the team
fired head coach Romeo Crennel following a 2-14 season.
