NOTES:The European Tour returns to South Africa for the third time in the
last four weeks for the Tshwane Open in Centurion. The event is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. It is the last of a record seven co- sanctioned events with the Sunshine Tour this season. George Coetzee won three weeks ago at the Joburg Open in Johannesburg, while Thomas Aiken captured the Africa Open two weeks ago in East London. Coetzee is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 53 in the world.

The tournament is being held at Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate, which was designed by South African legend Ernie Els and opened for play in 2006. The course was built on land once lived on by Els' grandfather. At 7,964 yards, Copperleaf is the longest course in European Tour history. The par-5, 685-yard fourth hole is the longest hole in European Tour history.

Last year, Dawie Van Der Walt closed with two rounds of 67 to win the inaugural event by two strokes over Darren Fichardt. Van Der Walt finished his first European Tour title at 21-under-par 267.

The European Tour travels back to the United States next week, as the best players in the world compete at the WGC-Cadillac Championship in Florida, where Tiger Woods will defend his title.
