Description: Packers QB Seneca Wallace has been placed on injured reserve with a groin injury.
Insight: He'll miss the rest of the season. Putting Wallace on IR opens up a spot for Matt Flynn, who was acquired on Monday. Wallace completed 16-of-24 passes for 139 yards in parts of two games this season.

Description: Green Bay quarterback Seneca Wallace exited in the first quarter after suffering a groin injury Sunday against the Eagles.
Insight: His return is questionable. Scott Tolzien is now in at quarterback for the injury-plagued Packers.

Description: Seneca Wallace's retirement from the NFL lasted less than 72 hours. He was signed by the Packers on Monday morning. SOURCE: Ed Werder, ESPN
Insight: He'll only see playing time in blowouts or in the unlikely event of an Aaron Rodgers injury. Wallace, who was cut by San Francisco a little less than a week ago, is on his third team in the last month.

Description: The 49ers added quarterback Seneca Wallace to the roster on Thursday. SOURCE: Matt Maiocco, Comcast Bay Area
Insight: It's the fourth team Wallace has been with in the past 12 months. Even if the journeyman makes the team, he's unlikely to have any fantasy value behind superstar Colin Kaepernick.

Description: The Saints dropped quarterback Seneca Wallace on Monday. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Wallace struggled mightily in Friday's preseason game against Oakland (3-for-6, two sacks, one interception, two fumbles) and now he's unemployed. With Wallace gone, Luke McCown will have to back up Drew Brees this season.
4/15/2013 7:51:00 PM
Description: According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, former Seahawks and Browns quarterback Seneca Wallace has agreed to a one-year deal with the Saints.
Insight: Last week it appeared that Wallace would sign with Oakland but instead he opted for New Orleans where he'll back up the veteran Drew Brees. Over the last eight seasons, Brees has missed just one game, which makes it highly unlikely that Wallace will see any playing time in 2013.
8/31/2012 6:58:00 PM
Description: The Browns cut ties with backup quarterback Seneca Wallace on Friday.
Insight: Wallace became the odd man out after Cleveland used one of its first-round picks on Oklahoma State star Brandon Weeden. Wallace finishes his career as a Brown with 1,261 passing yards and six touchdowns in 14 games played.
3/4/2011 12:01:00 PM
Description: The Browns and QB Seneca Wallace have agreed to a three-year, $9 million contract.
Insight: It's a good signing for both sides. The Browns get a guy who knows the ins-and-outs of the West Coast offense and will provide experience behind Colt McCoy. Wallace gets the opportunity to continue to play, albeit, as a backup, but he wasn't going to be anything more than that elsewhere.
11/27/2010 11:03:00 PM
Description: Wallace will serve as Jake Delhomme's backup Sunday, with Colt McCoy nursing a high ankle sprain.
Insight: Wallace no longer graces the injury report, so he should either hang his head in shame or get mad at someone for being sat behind the horrid Delhomme. (RapidDraft.com)
11/13/2010 1:01:00 PM
Description: Wallace participated in practice on a limited basis Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game.
Insight: Coach Eric Mangini said he expects to have Wallace active, but Colt McCoy will remain the starter. (RapidDraft.com)
11/7/2010 1:01:00 AM
Description: Wallace is listed as questionable to Jake Delhomme's doubtful this week, but he'll join Delhomme behind Colt McCoy whether active or not.
Insight: If McCoy plays well against New England, Wallace should be looking at a backup spot at best once his ankle is healthy. Even if he starts, the situation makes him a fantasy non-entity. (RapidDraft.com)
11/1/2010 12:40:00 PM
Description: According to Browns HC Eric Mangini, QB Seneca Wallace is further along in his recovery from a high ankle sprain than QB Jake Delhomme is from his.
SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Neither player practiced Monday, but both will try to get some work in on Wednesday. We still see Colt McCoy getting at least one more start this weekend against the Patriots.
10/11/2010 2:47:00 PM
Description: A league source reports that Browns QB Seneca Wallace has been diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain.
SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Wallace is a huge long shot to play, but Cleveland wants to put him through an "aggressive rehabilitation program" to get him ready for Week Six against the Steelers. Wallace's ankle will stop his ability to move around in the pocket to create plays, so he wouldn't be as affective if he did play. With Jake Delhomme also dealing with ankle issues, there is belief that the Browns could sign Brett Ratliff off the Patriots' practice squad to create some depth behind Colt McCoy.
10/4/2010 12:05:00 AM
Description: Wallace threw for 184 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's victory over Cincinnati.
Insight: Wallace may have to turn the job back over to Jake Delhomme next week, after the Week 1 starter returned to serve as the team's third QB in Week 4. (RapidDraft.com)
10/3/2010 1:00:00 PM
Description: Wallace will start his third straight game for the Browns in Week 4, with Jake Delhomme inactive.
Insight: Wallace isn't a fantasy option, but his presence is at least better for Josh Cribbs and probably other members of the Cleveland passing game -- all of whom have a dim outlook against a tough Cincinnati pass D. (RapidDraft.com)
10/3/2010 8:32:00 AM
Description: There is belief that Browns QB Seneca Wallace will start today against the Bengals.
SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Wallace is hardly someone you would want to consider for your starting lineup anyways. If Wallace does play, this gives a bit of a boost to tight end Ben Watson and a little less to Josh Cribbs.
Description: Wallace will start for the third straight week, as Jake Delhomme continues to be limited by a sprained ankle.
Insight: Wallace looked fairly good against Baltimore in Week 3, but he's nowhere near a fantasy option -- especially against Cincinnati. (RapidDraft.com)
9/27/2010 12:04:00 AM
Description: Wallace started for the second straight game in Week 3 and completed 18 of 24 passes for 141 yards and a score. He did not thrown an interception but fumbled once.
Insight: It was a solid outing for Wallace in a game Cleveland kept much closer than most probably expected. Can he be fantasy relevant? Probably not. (RapidDraft.com)
9/20/2010 12:05:00 AM
Description: Wallace stepped in for Jake Delhomme on Sunday and looked fairly Delhommian in throwing a bad interception that went for Kansas City's only touchdown.
Insight: Wallace was OK otherwise, but it's clear that fantasy owners should want to part of a Cleveland quarterback anytime soon. (RapidDraft.com)
9/17/2010 10:04:00 PM
Description: Wallace is all but assured of starting on Sunday with Jake Delhomme listed as doubtful because of an ankle injury.
Insight: Wallace has a better shot of becoming fantasy relevant this season than Delhomme does. We'll see how he and the offense fare this week in a nice matchup with the Chiefs. (RapidDraft.com)
