Description: The Pittsburgh Steelers are rumored to likely release veteran WR Antwaan Randle El.
SOURCE: SPORTING NEWS
Insight: This isn't surprising. The Steelers are starting to use Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown more and more while Hines Ward is entering his 14th season and Randle El is an afterthought. Randle El had a solid career and earned a few Super Bowl rings in the process.

Description: Antwaan Randle El is the Steelers' No. 3 wideout, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Insight: This makes sense, especially in light of Limas Sweed's injury. Still, Randle El hardly ever offers any fantasy value from week to week, so he may be best to avoid. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Newly signed Randle-El claims he was promised an opportunity to compete for the third WR role in Pittsburgh.
Insight: I also have some land in the Florida Everglades that I would like to sell him, too. There is almost no shot of him beating out Mike Wallace. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: According to multiple sources, the Redskins have released Randle El.
Insight: Randle El was due over $10 million in salary and bonuses, so this was a no-brainer for Washington. He could draw interest on the open market as a slot receiver and return man. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: According to Jason Reid of the Washington Post, Redskins' coaches and players have told him that Randle El could lead the team in receptions.
Insight: Randle El had seven receptions for 93 yards in Week 1 against the Giants, and could be a reliable target for Jason Campbell out of the slot. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Randle El caught a career-high 53 passes in 2008 and scored a personal-best four touchdowns.
Insight: Even his best is bottom-of-the-roster fantasy stuff. If you feel like adding him in one of the final few rounds of your draft, go for it. If you don't, you won't miss much. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Antwaan Randle El will play today despite a bad ankle, but he'll probably get less work than usual. Forget about him even more than you usually do. (SportsBuff.com)
11/22/2008 11:49:00 AM
Description: Randle El returned to limited practice on Friday after missing a couple of days with a sprained ankle. The Washington Times reports that he'll start against Seattle on Sunday.
Insight: Randle El is nothing more than a flex option in deep leagues, but he should be available if he's your choice. (SportsBuff.com)
10/24/2008 10:49:00 AM
Description: Randle El is a solid five-to-seven catches a game WR. He is also an excellent return man and has posted consistently solid numbers this year.
Insight: The offense in Washington has been very good this year, and Randle El has a ton of athleticism. Consider him a solid No. 2 receiver for Week 8 in Detroit. (SportsBuff.com)
