Description: Wide receiver Braylon Edwards has been released by the Jets.
Insight: Edwards hasn't held much fantasy value since his first stint with the Jets back in 2010. Santonio Holmes (if healthy) and Stephen Hill figure to get most of the targets but Edwards could have been a nice option near the goal line.

Description: Receiver Braylon Edwards is expected to re-sign with the Jets as long as he can pass his physical.

Description: The Jets have claimed veteran receiver Braylon Edwards off waivers from Seattle.
Insight: The Jets are dealing with multiple injuries at the wide receiver spot and Edwards will add depth and a goal line target. Given the quarterbacking situation in New York, however, his fantasy value is limited.
12/5/2012 7:41:00 PM
Description: The Seahawks have parted ways with veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Insight: We wonder why the Seahawks waited this long to cut him. Edwards produced barely anything during his time in Seattle (eight catches for 74 yards and a touchdown) and we doubt he'll find work again this season.
8/16/2012 12:03:00 PM
Description: The Tacoma News Tribune reports that Seahawks wide reciver Braylon Edwards has fully recovered from offseason knee surgery.
Insight: He'll have to hop a few spots on the depth chart to become fantasy relevant again but at least Edwards, who struggled to the tune of 181 yards receiving with the 49ers last year, is finally 100 percent.
8/15/2012 10:51:00 AM
Description: We wonder if the Seahawks will keep both Braylon Edwards and Terrell Owens on the final 53-man roster, particularly now that Sidney Rice's shoulder seems healed.
Insight: Edwards, once an elite fantasy receiver for the Cleveland Browns (16 TD catches in 2007), has struggled in recent seasons and it will be interesting to see what kind of role, if any, he plays in Seattle's offense in 2012. Along with Rice, Owens and Edwards, the current roster includes Ben Obomanu, Deon Butler, Doug Baldwin and Ricardo Lockette.

Description: Wide receiver Braylon Edwards and the Seahawks have agreed to a one-year deal.

Description: Braylon Edwards (knee, questionable) will be a game-time decision in Week 8 against the Browns.

Insight: Edwards has been limited all week but shouldn't be considered a fantasy option in week 8, even if he is active.
10/26/2011 6:19:00 PM
Description: Braylon Edwards (knee surgery) participated in 49ers practice for the second straight day Wednesday.
Source: Matt Barrows via Twitter
Insight: It's good news for the 9'ers receiving corps, but Jim Harbaugh hasn't said if he'd play or not. He hasn't played since week 2, so we don't think he'd be a good play right out of the gate.
9/22/2011 10:31:00 AM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Braylon Edwards will most likely miss three weeks after surgery to repair a torn right meniscus.
Insight: The timetable puts him out right before the bye week and the 9'ers might choose to hold him out until after the bye week. His owners should realize that the 2007 Braylon Edwards is not walking through the door anytime soon and should cut bait and drop him.
8/5/2011 7:07:00 AM
Description: 49ers agreed to terms with WR Braylon Edwards on a one-year, $3.5 million contract
Source: Adam Schefter via Twitter
Insight: There wasn't much demand or interest in Braylon's services during the free agent frenzy, so Braylon needed to just sign a deal. His QB situation is less than ideal since Alex Smith doesn't have the arm to take advantage of his vertical abilities. At this point, he's to be considered no better than a WR3 in non-PPR leagues.
6/27/2011 11:52:00 AM
Description: Jets WR Braylon Edwards was involved in minor car crash early Friday morning, though neither he nor his passenger were injured.
Insight: Apparently he lost control of his sports car with a passenger on board around 3:40 am and hit a pylon. Reports also said that no tickets were issued, and no alcohol was involved. This isn't the first time Edwards has had trouble with late night driving.
3/7/2011 12:08:00 PM
Description: Impending free agent WR Braylon Edwards' drunken-driving case has been adjourned again until later this spring.
Insight: Edwards is now due back in court on May 16. He wants to return to the Jets, but the only way that happens is if Santonio Holmes ends up signing somewhere else after a new CBA is worked out.
1/10/2011 11:35:00 AM
Description: Jets WR Braylon Edwards' DWI hearing has been pushed back from January 11 to March 7.
SOURCE: ESPN NEW YORK
Insight: This ensures Edwards will be available for the team's playoff run, but the beginning of the 2011 regular season could be in jeopardy if Edwards is found guilty. He was already on probation regarding an incident when he was in Cleveland. Edwards' playing status is up-in-the-air entering free agency.
1/3/2011 4:01:00 PM
Description: Edwards caught just one pass in Sunday's win over the Bills, but it went for a 52-yard touchdown.
Insight: The Bills didn't mount much of a challenge, and the Jets didn't have to do much with their starters. Edwards has been an inconsistent producer all year and figures to be so in the playoffs. He's due to hit free agency this off-season. (RapidDraft.com)
12/26/2010 10:04:00 PM
Description: Edwards caught six passes for 79 yards in Sunday's loss.
Insight: It was his second straight game with numbers at least that size after three consecutive outings of two catches or fewer. (RapidDraft.com)
12/13/2010 1:05:00 PM
Description: Edwards caught just one pass for 17 yards in Sunday's loss to Miami.
Insight: It was his third one-catch game of the season and the third straight week in which Edwards caught two passes or fewer. (RapidDraft.com)
11/15/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: Edwards managed just four catches for 59 yards in his return to Cleveland.
Insight: The embattled receiver appeared more focused in the week leading up to the matchup, but the numbers proved merely pedestrian. Such is the season for Edwards, who looks like nothing special going forward. (RapidDraft.com)
11/9/2010 2:39:00 PM
Description: Jets WR Braylon Edwards' DWI case has been adjourned until January 11, allowing his attorney and the Manhattan district attorney's office time to file motions.
Insight: There is reportedly "favorable" information regarding Edwards which could help his case. Fantasy owners shouldn't worry about any of this as all leagues will be done by the time the case is reconvened.
10/3/2010 11:03:00 PM
Description: Edwards caught four passes for 86 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown, against the Bills on Sunday.
Insight: Edwards is very inconsistent, but the big-play ability is undeniable, and Mark Sanchez seems to be starting to take advantage. The long Week 4 TD did come after CB Leodis McKelvin bit hard on a fake, but Edwards does present extra value in systems that award big-play bonuses. (RapidDraft.com)
