Description: Packers FS Nick Collins' neck injury is season ending.
Source: Tom Silverstein via Twitter
Insight: Not only is this a season ending injury, but dealing with the neck, a career could also be threatened. Charlie Peprah will get the first crack at playing free-safety for the Pack, but there's always the possibility that they look to a veteran to bring in.

Description: Packers DB Nick Collins was seen throwing an unknown object at a Bears' fan after the fan reportedly spat his way and called him a racist expletive.
Insight: Collins reportedly went "crazy" and tried to "attack" than fan. We realize that fans pay good money to see football games, but no one has the right to call anyone any derogatory name. Collins shouldn't have gone after the fan, but we don't blame him either.

Description: Collins told the Wisconsin State Journal that he would like to work out a long term deal with the Packers. He isn't planning on holding out, but would like to cash in on his Pro Bowl season.
Insight: The Packers are generally a frugal organization that will let Collins prove his All-Pro status before untying their purse strings. Collins had a career high seven interceptions and three returned TD's last year. He had four interceptions in three previous years with Green Bay. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Collins left Sunday night's loss twice because of a contusion in his lower back. The second time, he didn't return to the field. The team has yet to give his status for the upcoming game.
Insight: Collins has picked off a pass in each of the past two contests but has continued the mediocre tackle output that has been the norm for him. He still doesn't make for a strong IDP when he's healthy. (Matt Schauf/SportsBuff.com)
