Description: Shaun Hill has signed on for two more years with the Lions.
Insight: With Matthew Stafford's emergence in 2011, it's probably going to be another two years on the bench for Hill. He won't be a factor in fantasy next season.

Description: The Redskins are still said to be interested in free agent DB O.J. Atogwe.
SOURCE: WASHINGTON POST
Insight: Atogwe left without a deal when he visited Washington earlier in the month. So far, the Redskins, Cowboys, Bills and Broncos have shown the most interest since his release.

Description: The Redskins are expected to bring in free agent DB O.J. Atogwe for a visit Monday.
SOURCE: 101 ESPN ST. LOUIS
Insight: Atogwe worked with Redskins DC Jim Haslett when both were in St. Louis, so the familiarity helps. The Bills are also said to have some interest. While Atogwe makes the rounds, he hasn't ruled out a return to the Rams.
2/18/2011 7:03:00 PM
Description: The Rams have released DB O.J. Atogwe.
Insight: The Rams now avoid paying Atogwe's $8 million bonus. They could re-sign him, but we expect Atogwe to test the market in the hopes he lands one more big deal.
1/18/2011 11:01:00 AM
Description: The day after the Super Bowl (2/7), Rams DB O.J. Atogwe can void the remaining four years of his five-year contract.
SOURCE: ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Insight: Atogwe could wait out voiding his contract to see if the Rams will pay the $8 million roster bonus he is due two weeks later. Atogwe finished fourth on the team in tackles with 73, with three interceptions and two sacks. We doubt the team will pay out the bonus on top of Atogwe's $3.5 million base salary in 2011, but both sides could come up with a solution. Atogwe wants to stay and we are sure the team would love him back, just not at an $11.5 million price tag.

Description: Lions QB Shaun Hill will start over QB Drew Stanton against the Dolphins.
Insight: Both quarterbacks got first-team snaps in practice this week, but Hill gives them a better chance to win. Hard to recommend him as a fantasy option.
12/22/2010 1:27:00 PM
Description: Lions QB Shaun Hill is taking reps with the first team in practice this week.
Insight: Hill looked more comfortable than he did last week, and assuming he has no more setbacks this week, he's clearly the better option in Week 16 for the Lions. Miami is a solid pass defense and will put pressure on him throughout the game, so expect the Lions to put in a lot of short pass plays this week.
12/21/2010 2:01:00 PM
Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Lions' head coach Jim Schwartz said a decision who the team will start at QB in Week 16 may not be made until Sunday.
Insight: Hill is dealing with a finger issue, whild Drew Stanton has Grade 3 separation of his left shoulder. Hill should start if he is healthy, but is not a great fantasy option against a Dolphins' defense that ranks in the top ten against the pass. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Hill (finger) will not play in Week 15, but was able to make 20 and 30-yard passes during Friday's practice. (RapidDraft.com)
Insight: Hill may be able to return in Week 16 against the Dolphins. (RapidDraft.com)
12/15/2010 3:58:00 PM
Description: There is now belief that the Lions might start QB Shaun Hill (broken finger) against the Buccaneers.
Insight: A less-than-100-percent Hill would still be an upgrade over a healthy Drew Stanton, but Hill will have to improve his throws after Wednesday's practice didn't look so hot. Hill is an iffy starting option, but his presence would be huge for Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew.
12/15/2010 3:13:00 PM
Description: Lions QB Shaun Hill (broken finger) was able to make some "severely wobbled" throws in practice Wednesday.
Insight: Hill isn't anywhere near starting. He hasn't been able to hand off either. Drew Stanton took all first-team reps and will start against the Buccaneers.
12/15/2010 3:05:00 PM
Description: Tom Kowalski of MLive.com reports Hill (right index finger) may have a realistic chance to start in Week 15 against Tampa Bay.
Insight: Hill's ability to throw with zip and accuracy are obvious factors, but it sounds like the Lions could be willing to start him at less than 100%. (RapidDraft.com)
12/1/2010 12:00:00 PM
Description: Multiple sources confirm that Hill (right index finger) has a broken right index finger and his season is "likely" over.
Insight: Drew Stanton will take over as the Lions' starting quarterback, but Matt Stafford (right shoulder) could still theoretically return before the end of the season. (RapidDraft.com)
12/1/2010 11:26:00 AM
Description: It's believed that Lions QB Shaun Hill's season is "likely" over because of a broken finger in his throwing hand.
Insight: With Drew Stanton getting the nod, Matthew Stafford may try to rush back earlier than expected. He has done some light throwing, but he is still a couple weeks away from starting again. With Stanton under center, downgrade the team's skill players against the Bears this week.
12/1/2010 9:06:00 AM
Description: It was revealed that Lions QB Shaun Hill has a broken index finger on his throwing hand.
Insight: If true, Hill could be knocked out for a couple weeks. The Lions worked out a couple quarterbacks earlier in the week, which means Drew Stanton could get the start. This is a big upgrade for the Bears Defense. Hill could miss the rest of the season.
11/30/2010 11:02:00 PM
Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Hill (broken right index finger) could miss the rest of the season.
Insight: Hill finished the Thanksgiving Day game against New England with the injury, but was held out of Tuesday's practice. If he can't go in Week 13 against Chicago (and beyond), Drew Stanton would become the Lions' starting QB. (RapidDraft.com)
11/30/2010 5:49:00 PM
Description: Lions QB Shaun Hill (finger) did not practice Tuesday.
Insight: Hill was seen with a splint on his index finger on his right hand, so his availability for Week Thirteen could be questionable. The team worked out J.T. O'Sullivan and Josh McCown Monday, making Hill's status even worse.
11/30/2010 3:05:00 PM
Description: Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reports Hill (right index finger) sat out Tuesday's practice with a finger injury.
Insight: Hill reportedly had a splint on the finger, and his status for Sunday against Chicago is now fairly uncertain. (RapidDraft.com)
11/26/2010 3:02:00 PM
Description: Lions QB Shaun Hill accused the Patriots of trying to re-break his forearm during their Thanksgiving day game.
Insight: Hill was ruled down on a fumble, but he claims he had to let go of the ball because "somebody was down there literally trying to break my arm, which is already broken." We have heard many stories of players trying to hurt opposing players in the heap, so this doesn't surprise us.
11/25/2010 10:02:00 PM
Description: Hill went 27-for-46 for 285 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions against the Patriots on Thursday.
Insight: Hill was fairly erratic in the game, but still put up a nice yardage total. He is a solid fantasy play most weeks given how much the Lions are throwing the ball. (RapidDraft.com)
