Description: Washington back PF/C DeJuan Blair should be active after missing opening night due to a one-game suspension.
Insight: Blair will have little fantasy value this season, barring multiple injuries, as he's buried on the depth chart.
5/3/2014 9:43:00 AM
Description: Dallas center DeJuan Blair (ten points, 14 rebounds) had his second double-double of the series Friday in a victory over San Antonio.
Insight: Blair, who was suspended for Wednesday night's Game 5, picked up right where he left off in Game 4 (12 points, 11 assists). At 6-foot-7, Blair isn't a traditional center but he's better than anyone else the Mavs have to fill that role right now. Look for coach Rick Carlisle to ride the hot hand again in Game 7.
5/2/2014 11:03:00 AM
Description: Mavericks F/C DeJuan Blair is probable for Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals Friday against San Antonio.
Insight: Blair served his one-game suspension for kicking Tiago Splitter and should be back in the lineup. He's only averaging about nine minutes a night in the playoffs, but putting up 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in that short span of time.
4/29/2014 8:06:00 PM
Description: The NBA has suspended Mavericks F/C DeJuan Blair one game without pay for kicking Spurs center Tiago Splitter in the head during Monday's game, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Insight: Blair and Splitter collided while going for a loose ball and Blair kicked him in the head while both players were on the floor. He was ejected from the game and will miss Game 5 of the series.
11/16/2013 9:47:00 PM
Description: Mavericks F/C DeJuan Blair had a season-high 18 points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 25 minutes Saturday night.
Insight: Blair has played just 21.5 minutes per game this season but he's averaging 9.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and a surprising 2.2 steals. He has been cutting into Samuel Dalembert's minutes at center the last few games.
4/3/2013 7:22:00 PM
Description: Dan McCarney from the San Antonio Express-News is reporting that San Antonio center DeJuan Blair will miss Wednesday night's game against the Magic because of a stomach virus.
Insight: Blair hasn't scored in double figures in over a month and we're not expecting him to do it again anytime soon. Tiago Splitter (10.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg) is easily the more fantasy-worthy of the two Spurs centers.
2/2/2013 11:50:00 AM
Description: San Antonio backup center DeJuan Blair is questionable for Saturday's game against Washington with a swollen right knee.
Insight: Tiago Splitter is getting most of the minutes at center, so this injury shouldn't hurt too many fantasy owners.
12/10/2012 7:07:00 PM
Description: San Antonio center DeJuan Blair has returned to the starting lineup for Monday's game against Houston. Blair missed Saturday's game in Charlotte while dealing with a sprained left ankle.
Insight: Boris Diaw will head back to the bench. Blair's fantasy appeal is modest at best (6.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg).
12/8/2012 4:36:00 PM
Description: Spurs forward DeJuan Blair won't be available for Saturday's game in Charlotte. He suffered a sprained left ankle in Friday night's win over Houston.
Insight: Blair's absence opens the door for Tiago Splitter (9.2 ppg, 4.6 rpg) to make his third start of the season for San Antonio.
11/15/2012 8:43:00 PM
Description: Spurs forward DeJaun Blair will start at PF Thursday against the Knicks.
Insight: Blair is averaging 6.0 ppg and 5.4 rpg in just 18 minutes. He should see an increase in production playing in the starting lineup.
4/8/2012 8:09:00 PM
Description: It appears that DeJuan Blair will get the night off Sunday as the Spurs take on the Jazz.
Insight: You don't see this too often in basketball but it appears that Gregg Popovich is simply giving Blair a rest tonight. Blair, who had started in all 53 games for the Spurs before this evening, was replaced in the starting lineup by newcomer Boris Diaw.
3/7/2012 2:59:00 PM
Description: DeJuan Blair is dealing with a bruised left knee and is questionable for Wednesday's game against New Orleans.
Insight: Blair has struggled to contribute over the past three games, totaling just 13 points in 55 minutes of play. Tiago Splitter would see 25-30 minutes of playing time if Blair doesn't dress for the game, but he's not producing enough to be fantasy-worthy.
3/23/2011 2:05:00 PM
Description: The San Antonio Express-News lists Blair as probable for tonight's game against the Nuggets.
Insight: Blair hurt a wrist in the same game in which the Spurs lost Tim Duncan, but he's apparently ready to go. The team hadn't announced as of midday Wednesday who would start in Duncan's place. (RapidDraft.com)
2/17/2011 10:33:00 PM
Description: DeJuan Blair had his first ugly game since February 2nd by only scoring six points and pulling down three rebounds in 20 minutes.
Insight: Whenever a center is added through the waiver wire, he is going to have games like these. Blair owners should obviously cut him some slack since there is almost no chance there is a player with more upside on your waiver wire.
2/9/2011 10:32:00 PM
Description: DeJuan Blair officially became the hottest name on the waiver wire with 28 points, 11 boards, two steals, and a block in 36 minutes of action.
Insight: He basically put the Spurs on his back to help earn the road win. If you need a big, then he is your man.
2/8/2011 11:09:00 PM
Description: DeJuan Blair had another double-double on Monday with 18 points and 12 rebounds in 29 minutes to help the Spurs knock off the Pistons.
Insight: He has four dub-dubs in his last five and is developing some consistency. Pop figures to rest his studs down the stretch and Blair would be one of the biggest benefactors of the extra minutes. If you need a center in a standard league, he could be your man.
2/2/2011 1:01:00 AM
Description: DeJuan Blair's owners got some nice bang for the buck as he came up big with 14 points, 12 boards, a steal, and a block in 26 minutes.
Insight: He double-doubles quite a bit, but we're still not ready to anoint him as a player that should be owned in most standards. Blair is very inconsistent and there should be some better options on the wire. However, keep in mind that Pop could rest Tim Duncan down the stretch.
1/22/2011 12:40:00 AM
Description: DeJuan Blair blew up yet again with 18 points, 13 boards, four steals, and three blocks in a whopping 42 minutes.
Insight: Blair is hot out of the blue and it's tough to say he's a must-add despite the monster performances lately. It'd probably be safer to add Gortat, but crazier things have happened in Pop's rotation.
1/20/2011 1:38:00 AM
Description: DeJuan Blair was more powerful than Tony Blair in the paint Wednesday by going off for 22 points, 11 boards, a block, and a steal in 35 minutes.
Insight: It came against the Raptors, he is coming off a three-point game in his last showing, and his minutes have been in the teens for four of the last five games. He may be made from bits of real Pitt Panther, but we don't know if he's good. Very deep leagues only for now.
1/14/2011 10:30:00 PM
Description: DeJuan Blair had his first useful game since January 4th by scoring 18 points and rebounding 13 in 30 minutes on Friday.
Insight: He made 7-of-11 from the floor and the Mavs not having a healthy Tyson Chandler (illness) seemed like it certainly helped Mr. Blair. He should be ignored in all but the deepest of leagues for now.
