Description: Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday struggled with his shooting touch against Portland, going 5-of-19 from the field.
Insight: Quite a comedown from the 9-of-10 in the previous game. We'll just call it a bad game and move on as long as it's a one-time thing. He's shooting 44.8 percent from the field this season after missing most of 2013-14.

Description: Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday looks to be 100 percent early this season.

Description: Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday told nba.com he's about 80 percent for the season opener.
Insight: Holiday averaged just 14.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 7.9 apg, 1.6 spg, but that was with a new club and now that he's had a chance to fit in he should be better. We will like him a lot more when he tells us he's healthy.

Description: Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday played just 34 games last season, but the injury, stress fracture of the right tibia, shouldn't be a factor this season.
Insight: Holiday averaged just 14.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 7.9 apg, 1.6 spg, but that was with a new club and now that he's had a chance to fit in he should be better. We're projecting 16.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 7.7 asp for 2014-15.

Description: The Pelicans announced Wednesday that point guard Jrue Holiday is still out indefinitely. SOURCE: Jim Eichenhofer, Pelicans.com
Insight: Holiday has missed six weeks with a stress fracture in his leg. There was some optimism that he could be back in about a week but that seems to have quickly faded. Brian Roberts (8.4 ppg, 3.0 apg) has been starting in Holiday's absence.

Description: New Orleans point guard Jrue Holiday is expected to return in a week, if not sooner, according to Darrell Williams of the New Orleans Advocate.
Insight: For the season he's averaging 14.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 7.9 apg, 1.6 spg and fantasy owners would like that back as soon as possible as he hasn't played since Jan 8.

Description: New Orleans point guard Jrue Holiday is out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his right tibia.
Insight: Early estimates are for a one-month absence. Holiday had produced single-digit points in his previous four outings, shooting just 11-for-37 over that span. The leg injury may explain his recent lack of production. For the season he's averaging 14.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 7.9 apg, 1.6 spg.
12/30/2013 10:50:00 PM
Description: New Orleans point guard Jrue Holiday produced 31 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists Monday in a win over Portland.
Insight: It comes on the heels of a pitiful three-point outing two nights earlier against Houston. The 31 points are the most Holiday has scored since joining the Pelicans in late June.
12/13/2013 10:34:00 PM
Description: Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday notched his sixth double-double of the season Friday against Memphis.
Insight: He finished with 20 points and 12 assists. The 23-year-old has shot over 50 percent from the three-point line over his last four games (9-of-17).
11/30/2013 9:45:00 AM
Description: New Orleans point guard Jrue Holiday collected 20 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists Friday in a win over his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers.
Insight: Somehow, Holiday is shooting better outside the three-point line than he is inside of it (43.8 percent on threes, 43.5 on twos) . Holiday's size (6-foot-4) makes him one of the better rebounding point guards in the league (4.1 rpg ranks sixth among point guards).
11/16/2013 10:38:00 PM
Description: Pelicans PG Jrue Holiday help his new team destroy his old team, the Philadelphia 76ers, with 14 points, 12 assists and six rebounds Saturday night.
Insight: Holiday hasn't quite been the threat he was last season with Philadelphia, when he averaged 37.5 minutes, 17.7 points, 8.0 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.2 threes and made the All-Star team. There are too many players who need the ball on this Pelicans team to expect that type of production again, especially with Ryan Anderson returning to action Saturday.
6/27/2013 10:01:00 PM
Description: The Pelicans acquired Jrue Holiday Thursday in exchange for Nerlens Noel and a top-five protected pick in next year's draft.
Insight: It's bad news for Greivis Vasquez, who really came into his own as the starter last season. Holiday had his best season in 2012-13, averaging a career-best 17.7 ppg en route to his first All-Star selection. The 76ers will presumably use rookie Michael Carter-Williams at point guard next season.
4/3/2013 9:51:00 PM
Description: Sixers point guard Jrue Holiday had an off-shooting night Wednesday against Charlotte (2-of-24).
Insight: Calling it an "off-night" might be putting it kindly. Holiday has had rough shooting nights before (6-for-17 Saturday against the Bobcats) but nothing quite like this. Luckily he was able to salvage the night somewhat by producing eight assists and three steals.
3/16/2013 10:10:00 PM
Description: 76ers guard Jrue Holiday impressed fantasy owners with 27 points, six rebounds and 12 assists Saturday against Indiana.
Insight: The Sixers dug their own grave by going 3-8 in February. Not having Andrew Bynum all year probably hasn't helped. But for fantasy owners, the outlook is much brighter. Holiday is one of the feel-good stories in all of basketball this season. Once a no-name, Holiday (18.6 ppg, 8.7 apg, 4.2 rpg) has emerged as one of the best point guards in the Eastern Conference. Fantasy owners who took a chance on Holiday on draft day have been handsomely rewarded. See, there is a happy ending.
3/8/2013 11:50:00 AM
Description: Philadelphia point guard Jrue Holiday is probable for Friday's game against Miami with a sprained left thumb.
Insight: Holiday shot just 3-of-12 on Wednesday, perhaps, effected by the thumb. He is averaging 19.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 8.6 apg in his first All-Star season.
