Insight: Fantasy owners of Kendall Marshall have to be thrilled with this news. Blake owners, on the other hand, won't be quite as excited. With Stephen Curry eating up almost 38 minutes a game at point guard, Blake won't have many opportunities to contribute with his new team.

Insight: Blake has been plagued by a sore elbow recently. We wouldn't recommend Blake for fantasy purposes after watching him shoot just 2-for-11 Tuesday in a loss to Utah.

Description: Los Angeles point guard Steve Blake had a rough night Tuesday versus Utah. SOURCE: Mike Trudell, Lakers.com
Insight: Bothered by a sore elbow, Blake just couldn't find his stroke on Tuesday. He finished with five points on just 2-of-11 shooting. It sounds like Blake should play Thursday against the Thunder, though it's getting kind of hard to trust him. Kendall Marshall might be the better option for the Lakers at this point.

Description: Los Angeles guard Steve Blake is active for Friday's game in Philadelphia. SOURCE: Lakers.com
Insight: Since coming back from an elbow injury on Tuesday, Blake has already suffered a ruptured eardrum and a bruised thigh. The latter is what made him a game-time decision tonight against the Sixers. He'll start alongside Steve Nash (6.7 ppg, 5.4 apg) as the Lakers go for their second win in a row.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake recorded the second triple-double of his career Wednesday in a bizarre victory over Cleveland.
Insight: Blake, who was playing with a ruptured eardrum, finished with 11 points, ten rebounds and 15 assists. By the end of the night, Los Angeles was down to just four eligible players as Robert Sacre was allowed to keep playing despite picking up his sixth foul. Hopefully the Lakers will have enough healthy bodies to field a team Friday when they travel to Philadelphia.

Description: Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake suffered a ruptured eardrum Tuesday, according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times. He'll have his eardrum repaired Wednesday.
Insight: Blake is expected to play Wednesday and says his ear doesn't hurt but "everything sounds funny." The 33-year-old started at shooting guard Tuesday in his first game since Dec. 10 after sitting out with a torn UCL in his right elbow. Blake should continue to get 30-32 minutes per game as a combo guard.
2/4/2014 1:40:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake (elbow) is expected to start at shooting guard alongside Steve Nash.
Insight: Kendall Marshall has been very good since joining the Lakers but his fantasy value will be iffy with Nash and Blake back in the lineup.

Description: Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake (elbow) could be back Tuesday, according to Bill Oram of the Orange County Register.
Insight: Injured point guards Blake, Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar all have similar timetables to return. Kendall Marshall has been very good since joining the Lakers but his fantasy value will be iffy if Nash, Blake and Farmar are all healthy.
1/23/2014 9:52:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles Lakers guard Steve Blake is in his fifth week on the sidelines due to a torn UCL in his right (shooting) elbow.
Insight: He's not going to come back early as his next reevaluation isn't scheduled until Feb. 1, according to Los Angeles beat writer Dave McMenamin. The Lakers have already used six point guards this season.

Insight: Ouch. All three of the Lakers' point guards (Blake, Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar) are out with injuries. Kobe Bryant will function as the point guard on an interim basis until the team acquires another ball handler or one of either Nash, Blake or Farmar gets healthy.
11/26/2013 9:52:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake played 30 minutes and had 15 points, five assists, three rebounds and two threes Tuesday at Washington.
Insight: Blake has averaged 33 minutes, 12.2 points, 8.7 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.1 threes over his last 10 games. He should be owned in all leagues, as there's no guarantee Steve Nash will make it back this season.
11/21/2013 4:30:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake has averaged 11.7 points, 10.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.0 threes over his last six games.
Insight: Mike D'Antoni's system is favorable for point guards. With Steve Nash (back) expected to miss at least another 10 days, Blake should be owned in all leagues.
10/28/2013 8:53:00 PM
Description: Steve Blake is expected to start the season opener at shooting guard, according to Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times.
Insight: The team's probable starting lineup consists of Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Nick Young, Shawne Williams and Pau Gasol. Blake will likely see over 30 minutes per game as a combo guard until Kobe Bryant returns and should provide moderate production in points, assists, rebounds, steals and threes.
4/25/2013 4:13:00 PM
Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake (hamstring) is out indefinitely, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
Insight: With the Lakers down 2-0 to the Spurs, we probably won't see Blake again this season.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake left Wednesday's Game 2 loss against the Spurs with a strained right hamstring. He'll receive an ultrasound Thursday and is questionable for Game 3. SOURCE: ESPNLA.com
Insight: The Lakers are already missing Kobe Bryant and will head back to Los Angeles down 2-0 to the Spurs and dealing with injuries to three more guards -- Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks.
4/18/2013 9:31:00 AM
Description: Steve Blake saved the best for last. The Lakers interim point guard notched a season-high 24 points Wednesday in a win against Houston.
Insight: That performance came just three nights after Blake scored 23 in a win over San Antonio. The Lakers have done well when he's been in the lineup and it's possible that Mike D'Antoni could opt to start him over Steve Nash during the postseason.
1/28/2013 5:03:00 PM
Description: Steve Blake is expected to return to the Lakers' lineup Tuesday against New Orleans according to the Los Angeles Times. Blake has missed 37 games in a row after undergoing surgery on his injured abdomen.
Insight: Blake was only averaging 5.1 ppg on 35.3 percent shooting before the injury. Unless Steve Nash gets hurt again, Blake's fantasy impact will be minimal.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake said he had a breakthrough Wednesday in his recovery from abdominal surgery. Blake practiced three-on-three for the first time since suffering an abdominal tear in early November. SOURCE: LA Times
Insight: Blake's recovery has been delayed because of a sore groin. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect much from him when he returns as a reserve to Steve Nash.

Description: Lakers point guard Steve Blake (abdominal surgery) is hoping to return by mid-January. SOURCE: Mike Bresnahan, Los Angeles Times
Insight: However, that seems like a best case scenario. Blake could be out longer than that. He's not a fantasy factor anyway now that Steve Nash is back.
