Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Bucks used the NBA's amnesty provision to waive forward Drew Gooden on Tuesday.
Gooden has approximately $13.36 million and two years left on his contract with the Bucks. The team, though, will not have to take a hit against the salary cap for making Gooden an amnesty player.
The 31-year-old Gooden was signed as a free agent by the Bucks in the summer of 2010. He averaged 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 16 games last season.
The 11-year NBA veteran appeared in 107 games over three seasons with the Bucks, averaging 11.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest. He has also played for the Grizzlies, Magic, Cavaliers, Bulls, Kings, Spurs, Mavericks and Clippers.
