Description: Twins outfielder Chris Parmelee slashed three hits in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.
Insight: The game was Parmelee's first multi-hit game since early August. The 26-year-old finished August with a .193 batting average. He does not have much fantasy value.

Description: Twins outfielder Chris Parmelee slashed three hits in Thursday's loss to Los Angeles.

Description: Three of the Twins' four hits on Wednesday came off the bat of Chris Parmelee.
Insight: Parmelee gave the Twins a 1-0 lead with his solo shot in the tenth but Casey Fien quickly coughed up the lead by allowing David Ortiz and Mike Napoli to hit back-to-back homers in the bottom of the inning. Even after going 3-for-4, Parmelee's season average is still barely over .200. He's not a fantasy option.

Description: Twins right fielder Chris Parmelee slugged two homers Saturday in a loss at Cleveland.
Insight: Parmelee came up huge on Saturday, delivering three hits and two runs in five trips to the plate. He's only batting .232 for the season so fantasy owners shouldn't expect performances like this to be an everyday occurrence.

Description: Minnesota OF/1B Chris Parmelee hasn't done much this season that's fantasy worthy, but he is 4-for-5 with a home run when facing Royals starter Luis Mendoza.
Insight: Parmelee is batting .233 with five homers and 14 RBI, but outfielders with a .674 OPS don't usually excite fantasy owners. This matchup, however, appears to be favorable.

Description: Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire said that Chris Parmelee will start the season as the team's first baseman and Justin Morneau as the designated hitter.
Insight: Parmelee batted just .261 this spring, but hit five homers, knocked in 13 runs and posted a .886 OPS. The move allows the team to protect Morneau's health and get some added pop in a lineup missing both Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel this year.
