Description: Phillies infielder Freddy Galvis bashed four hits Saturday in a 6-5 win over Atlanta.
Insight: It's one of the few productive games Galvis (.216, 5 HR, 16 RBI) has had this season. He was hitless in his previous 17 at bats coming into this game.

Description: Philadelphia second baseman Freddy Galvis has been suspended 50 games after testing positive for a performance enhancing drug.
Insight: The drug Galvis (.226, 3 HRs, 24 RBIs) tested positive for was Clostebol. Galvis has denied ever using the drug. Even if this suspension gets overturned, it's unlikely that we'll see Galvis playing for the Phillies again anytime soon. Galvis is out indefinitely with a fractured bone in his back.

Description: Philadelphia second baseman Freddy Galvis will be out indefinitely with a fractured bone in his back. He's been on the DL since June 6th.
Insight: This could be a season-ending injury. Mike Fontentot (.341, 1 HR, 5 RBIs) should get most of the reps at second base until Chase Utley is ready to play again. Utley has missed the entire season so far because of a knee injury.

Description: Rookie second baseman Freddy Galvis hit his third home run of the season on Saturday against Boston.
Insight: Galvis has homered in each of the last two games. Perhaps the news that Chase Utley may return in June is driving him to perform better at the plate. In any case, the light hitting Galvis shouldn't be looked at by fantasy owners outside of deeper NL-only leagues.

Description: Rookie Freddy Galvis hit his first career home run on Friday.
Insight: Galvis leads the Phillies with five RBIs, which speaks more about the Phillies offensive woes than it does about Galvis' fantasy outlook. He's still hitting under .200, so he's not a good option at this point.

Description: With Chase Utley's bad knees putting his season on hold, Freddy Galvis will get the majority of the playing time at second base.
Insight: Galvis posted adequate numbers at Reading and Lehigh Valley last season, but they weren't fantasy-worthy. He batted .278 between the two minor league clubs with 78 runs scored, eight homers, 43 RBI and 23 stolen bases. He's certainly not going to replace Utley's power numbers and will likely share time with Ty Wigginton.
