Description: Rays catcher Ryan Hanigan left Friday night's game due to cramping in right leg and is questionable for Saturday's game against the LA Angels.
Insight: The 33-year-old Hanigan shouldn be considered day-to-day. He's batting .238 with three homers and 22 RBI this season. Jose Molina would go if Hanigan gets the day off, but he has no fantasy value with his .128 batting average.

Description: Reds C Ryan Hanigan was placed on the diabled list on Thursday with a sprained left wrist.
Insight: Hanigan has proven to be of little value to fantasy owners offensively, batting .193 with a .569 OPS. His absence will offer more of an opportunity for Devin Mesoraco to garner more playing time, although he is playing through a sore back and doesn't appear to offer much either.

Description: Hanigan broke out of a slump with three singles in four at bats. He scored twice.
Insight: Hanigan only had one hit in his last 15 at bats. He is still hitting .323 on the season and .333 in July. In 164 at bats, he has one homer, but he could help with average. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Hanigan went 2-for-4 against the Royals and is now hitting .319.
Insight: With Ramon Hernandez starting regularly at first base, Hanigan has received extended playing time. He has just one homer, but his average could be useful in NL-only leagues or two-catcher leagues. (SportsBuff.com)
