Description: Nationals reliever Henry Rodriguez is suffering from a sore elbow, according to manager Davey Johnson.
Insight: Not good for a guy who had season-ending shoulder surgery last August. Rodriguez started off 2012 as the Nationals closer saving nine games before mid-May, but he'll return as just another middle-innings guy as Washington is loaded at the back end with closer Rafael Soriano, Drew Storen and Tyler Clippard.

Description: Nationals reliever Henry Rodriguez was activated from the DL on Tuesday. He missed about a month while dealing with a finger injury.
Insight: Rodriguez (1-3, 5.14 ERA) already lost his closer's job to Tyler Clippard (1.83 ERA, 13 saves in 14 chances), who has been brilliant in his new role, so Rodriguez shouldn't carry much fantasy value going forward.

Description: Nationals reliever Henry Rodriguez is questionable for Friday's game against Atlanta with a bruised right index finger.
Insight: Rodriguez has given up a run in each of his two outings since being removed from the closer role and hold little fantasy value at this time.

Description: Henry Rodriguez has been relieved of his duties as the team's closer.
Insight: Rodriguez was replaced by Sean Burnett in the ninth inning Monday night after allowing a run to start the inning. Manager Davey Johnson said that the Nationals will use a closer by committee until Drew Storen (elbow) returns from the disabled list.

Description: Henry Rodriguez recovered nicely from the blown save he had in his previous outing. Rodriguez tossed a perfect ninth Thursday against the Pirates for his seventh save of the season.
Insight: It's good to see Rodriguez (1-2, 2.63 ERA) getting back on track in the wake of some of the more disastrous results we've seen from closers this season. Rodriguez should retain his post as closer until Brad Lidge returns from injury and even then, the job will probably be his to lose.

Description: Henry Rodriguez gave up a walk-off two run homer to Pirates catcher Rod Barajas Tuesday night. It was Rodriguez's second blown save of the season.
Insight: It's been a tough year for fantasy closers all around the league but for the most part Rodriguez (2.84) has been pretty reliable in 2012. With that said, he has been struggling a bit lately (two blown saves in his last three chances) and if things keep going downhill, he could be replaced by Brad Lidge when he returns from the DL in a little less than a month.

Description: Henry Rodriguez sent the Astros down in order in the ninth inning on Wednesday, recording his third save of the season.
Insight: Rarely does a closing split yield any viable fantasy candidates, much less two, but the Nationals are racking up the low-scoring victories, giving both Brad Lidge and Rodriguez fantasy value in all leagues. Wednesday also brought news that Lidge suffers from vertigo which may threaten his ability to pitch on certain days, which may boost Rodriguez' save opportunities.

Description: Henry Rodriguez recorded his first save of the season on Saturday, striking out the side in his one inning of work.
Insight: It's a clear split in the Washington bullpen until Drew Storen returns. Brad Lidge got the save in game one and Rodriguez today. That doesn't serve fantasy owners well in the short term, but if Washington can continue to provide save opportunities at a similar rate, it could boost Storen's value.
