Description: Atlanta right-hander Julio Teheran matched Reds ace Johnny Cueto pitch for pitch Sunday at Turner Field.
Insight: Teheran (2-1, 1.47 ERA) allowed just three hits across eight shutout frames. The Braves should be embarrassed with the lack of run support they've given Teheran over his last three starts. Despite a 0.38 ERA during that span, Teheran is only 1-0 with two no-decisions.

Description: Atlanta rookie Julio Teheran dropped his ERA below 3.00 for the first time this season Tuesday.
Insight: Teheran has slowly but surely reduced his ERA from 7.31 on April 18 to 2.96 after Tuesday's six-inning, one-run effort in a win over Washington. Over his last 19 starts, he has posted a 2.38 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, an 8.11 K/9, a 1.71 BB/9 and a 0.82 HR/9.
7/27/2013 7:40:00 PM
Description: Atlanta rookie Julio Teheran surrendered just two hits Saturday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.
Insight: Teheran (7 IP, 0 R, 6 K's) has a 0.69 ERA in his last two starts. Unfortunately, the Braves have only scored a combined four runs in those games so Teheran is winless over that span. The two runs Atlanta scored on Saturday both came after Teheran was already out of the game.

Description: Braves righty Julio Teheran allowed only two runs Monday against Washington, but he gave up 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Insight: Teheran has given up three earned over his last 12 1/3 innings despite allowing 18 hits in that span. While those are better results than his first three starts, they're just not good enough to convince fantasy owners to hold onto him. 4/18/2013 10:31:00 PM
Description: Braves right-hander Julio Teheran's dominant spring has not carried over to the regular season. He has a 7.31 ERA and 1.75 WHIP through three starts.
Insight: Teheran has walked seven batters and allowed five homers in 16 innings, but he also has had some bad luck in first innings this year. In his first start, Jason Heyward lost a ball in the lights for a leadoff double, and in his second start, Chris Johnson threw the ball away on a play that was ruled an infield single. And Thursday, Andrew McCutchen's broken bat bloop to right field barely eluded a diving Heyward's glove for a one-out double. He hasn't been good by any stretch of the imagination, but he still has potential to help fantasy teams soon. However, he's running out of time.
4/6/2013 10:38:00 PM
Description: Braves right-hander Julio Teheran had a rough first outing Saturday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on eight hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out two.
Insight: Teheran led the majors in strikeouts this spring to reestablish his status as a top prospect. He had some bad luck early, as he gave up a double to the leadoff batter after Jason Heyward lost a flyball in the lights, but he also allowed two no-doubt home runs and two doubles. We'll give him a few more starts.
3/23/2013 5:54:00 PM
Description: Braves right-hander Julio Teheran fanned 10 batters over six hitless innings Saturday against the Astros to lower his ERA to 1.04 this spring. Teheran has struck out 35 batters and allowed just seven hits in 26 spring innings.
Insight: Teheran had a rough year in Triple-A last season, posting a 5.08 ERA in 131 innings, but MLB.com still rates him as the No. 31 overall prospect in baseball. He's still just 22 and should be owned in all leagues on potential alone.
