NCAA Game Summary - Old Dominion at UNC-Wilmington

Wilmington, NC (Sports Network) - Chris Dixon and Keith Rendleman each scored 14 points to lead the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks to a 65-60 victory over the Old Dominion Monarchs in a Colonial Athletic Association clash at Trask Coliseum.
Rendleman also collected a game-high 13 rebounds for UNC-Wilmington (7-10, 2-3 CAA) which has won back-to-back games after a four-game losing streak. Craig Ponder added 13 points as well for the Seahawks.
DeShawn Painter had a game-high 18 points and Richard Ross added 11 off the bench for Old Dominion (2-15, 0-5) which has lost six straight.
The Monarchs fought their way to a 31-28 edge at halftime by outscoring UNC-Wilmington 11-2 on second chance points in the first half.
The score was tied at 49-49 with less than seven minutes remaining but the Seahawks ripped off a 14-6 run down the stretch to take an eight-point lead with 23 seconds remaining. The Monarchs would be unable to recover in the final seconds as they remained winless in league play.
UNC-Wilmington shot 43.1 percent from the field in the contest and outscored Old Dominion 16-9 from the free-throw line. Old Dominion hit only 39.3 percent of its shots from the floor.
