Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Harper Kamp tallied 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists as the California Golden Bears defeated the Utah Utes 60-46 in a Pac-12 bout at Huntsman Center.
Jorge Gutierrez scored 12 points for Cal (23-6, 13-3 Pac-12) and David Kravish added 11 points and four blocks. The Golden Bears continue their reign atop the Pac-12 standings and they have now won six in a row.
For Utah (5-22, 2-13), Chris Hines led the way with 15 points. Cedric Martin recorded 11 points and Jason Washburn chipped in 10 points for the Utes, who extended their losing streak to eight games.
Though Utah outshoot Cal from the floor in the first half 42.9 percent to 41.2 percent, Cal took a 35-23 lead into halftime. The Golden Bears attempted 13 more shots in the half thanks in part to 11 Utah turnovers.
The Golden Bears shot just 39.1 percent in the second half but they never surrendered their lead.
Neither team shot well from three-point range, as Cal connected on 2-of-11 long-range shots and Utah didn't fare much better at 5-of-18.
