The Arizona Cardinals have come to terms on a five-year contract extension with cornerback Patrick Peterson.
The 24-year-old sent a message via Twitter that his deal was worth $70 million with $48 million guaranteed.
The deal keeps the three-time Pro Bowl selection under contract through the 2020 season.
The fifth overall pick in 2011 out of LSU, Peterson started all 16 games last season and registered 40 tackles, three interceptions and a career-high 30 passes defensed.
