Description: Indians starter Trevor Bauer struck out 10 batters over 6 2/3 scoreless innings Sunday against the White Sox.
Insight: Bauer has been inconsistent this season, but he has a ton of upside and he put that on display Sunday with one of the best starts of his career. He'll take a 3.84 ERA, a 1.42 WHIP and 70 Ks in 72 2/3 innings into the second half.

5/20/2014 10:20:00 PM
Description: Indians starter Trevor Bauer picked up his first win of the year Tuesday against the Tigers.
Insight: Bauer, who replaced Danny Salazar in the rotation after getting his control problems in check at Triple-A, gave up two runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks in six innings Tuesday. According to PITCHf/x, Bauer averaged 97 mph with his four-seamer against the Tigers. He should be owned in all leagues.

Description: Cleveland will call up Trevor Bauer from Triple-A Columbus to start Tuesday against the Tigers, according to Jordan Bastian of mlb.com.
Insight: Bauer will replace Danny Salazar in the rotation. The 2011 No. 3 overall pick seems to have solved his control issues and is 4-1 with a 2.15 ERA, a 1.087 WHIP and a 44/14 K/BB over 46 innings in the minors. He was called upon to pitch one Indians game in early April and pitched well (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 Ks) while showing improved velocity.

5/15/2014 3:07:00 PM
Description: Indians Triple-A right-hander Trevor Bauer continues to pitch well at Columbus and should get a call from the big club soon.

Description: Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer struck out eight men in six innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, but he took a loss against the Padres.
Insight: The 2011 No. 3 overall pick's stock has fallen due to control issues after he went 12-2 with a 2.42 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 130 1/3 innings in the minors in 2012. He had 73 walks, 106 strikeouts and a 4.15 ERA in 121 1/3 innings with Triple-A Columbus last season and owns a 5.03 ERA and a 36/31 K/BB in 39 1/3 big league innings. Still, Wednesday's results are encouraging, especially because Bauer averaged nearly 95 mph with his fastball. He may be recalled if Carlos Carrasco continues to struggle.

Insight: Bauer has made two spot starts this season and has allowed two hits and three earned runs in 10 innings but also has walked 13 batters. He has a 31/10 K/BB and a 2.55 ERA in 24 2/3 innings with Triple-A Columbus this season.

5/2/2013 11:02:00 AM
Description: Cleveland sent Trevor Bauer down to Triple-A after his start Wednesday against the Twins.
Insight: Aside from the six walks he allowed, Bauer actually pitched pretty well on Wednesday (5 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 5 K's). The young righthander will probably spend most of the season bouncing between Cleveland and Triple-A Columbus.

4/29/2013 9:06:00 PM
Description: Indians starter Trevor Bauer will make a spot start Wednesday against the Phillies, according to Nick Camino of Newsradio WTAM 1100 Cleveland.

4/7/2013 4:37:00 PM
Description: Indians starter Trevor Bauer has been demoted to Triple-A after allowing three runs in five innings in a spot start Saturday against the Rays.
Insight: Bauer started in place of Scott Kazmir, and while he allowed two hits, he walked seven. Carlos Carrasco will start Tuesday against the Yankees now that his six-game suspension is over.

4/4/2013 6:35:00 PM
Description: The Indians have named Trevor Bauer as the starter for Saturday's game against the Rays.
Insight: Bauer will take the spot of Scott Kazmir, who was placed on the DL Thursday with an abdominal injury. Bauer didn't show much during spring training (6.06 ERA) after disappointing as a rookie and he is not guaranteed another start after this Saturday. However, he has plenty of upside and should be monitored in all leagues.

4/4/2013 11:40:00 AM
Description: MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports that Trevor Bauer could take Scott Kazmir's spot in the rotation while he's out with a strained abdomen.
Insight: Bauer might start Saturday against Tampa Bay. Bauer didn't show much during spring training (6.06 ERA) so we're not optimistic about his chances of becoming a legitimate fanasy contributor this season.

3/21/2013 12:37:00 PM
Description: Cleveland righthander Trevor Bauer has been demoted to the minor leagues.
Insight: He'll open the season with Triple-A Columbus. Bauer (1-2, 6.06 ERA for Arizona in 2012) has been so-so this spring, producing a 4.50 ERA over five appearances. He'll probably return to the majors at some point later this season but that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll have fantasy relevance.

12/11/2012 9:15:00 PM
Description: Diamondbacks pitching prospect Trevor Bauer has reportedly been traded to the Indians as part of a three-team trade. SOURCE: Danny Knobler, CBSSports.com
Insight: Bauer is a highly-touted prospect but he went just 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in four starts after being called up in July. The Diamondbacks will receive Reds shortstop prospect Didi Gregorius with Shin Soo-Choo going to Cincinnati.

11/7/2012 8:03:00 PM
Description: The Diamondbacks could be open to trading righthander Trevor Bauer according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.
Insight: Bauer struggled during his first four-game stint in the majors last season (1-2, 6.06 ERA) but it's way too early to give up on him. He was a stud during his time at UCLA and is coming off a very successful year in the minor leagues (12-2, 2.42 ERA in 2012). We doubt Arizona would move the 21-year-old without getting something major in return.

7/25/2012 8:56:00 PM
Description: Diamondbacks righthander Trevor Bauer has been shut down for a couple starts at Triple-A Reno, according to Jack Magruder of FoxSportsArizona.com.
Insight: Bauer's ERA was down and the young righty lacked command in his brief major league stint earlier this month. We may not see the prospect at the big league level until next season.

7/18/2012 7:10:00 PM
Description: Diamondbacks righthander Trevor Bauer has been sent back to Triple-A Reno following a four-game stint in the Arizona starting rotation.
Insight: With the exception of his scoreless outing July 8 against Los Angeles, Bauer (1-2, 6.06 ERA) looked pretty ordinary in his first go-round in the major leagues. He'll head back to the minor leagues, where he has compiled an 11-1 record and a 2.23 ERA in 16 starts this season.
