GAME NOTES: The NC State Wolfpack have lost four of their last six games, but with one contest remaining in the regular season the team will attempt to go into the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on a high note as they host the Boston College Eagles in an ACC clash at PNC Arena.

Boston College has dropped eight of its last 10 contests, including the team's most recent outing against Florida State, which the Seminoles took, 74-70, on Tuesday. The Eagles enter the game with NC State with a 4-13 mark in conference play, which is only ahead of Georgia Tech.

NC State has lost four of its last six, but is coming off a 74-67 win on the road against Pittsburgh Monday. The Wolfpack enter this meeting with an 8-9 record in conference play, but can pull even at 9-9 entering the conference tournament with a victory.

The all-time series between Boston College and NC State is tied at eight games apiece. The Eagles, however, have lost the last five in a row to the Wolfpack. This is the only time these teams have met during the regular season.

Boston College and Florida State battled back and forth for the entire first half of Tuesday's contest, with Florida State taking its largest lead at four points, and Boston College owning at one point a three-point advantage. The two teams went into the half knotted at 33-33. The second half favored the Seminoles, who shot 76.5 percent from the floor in the period. Olivier Hanlan scored a team-high 20 points for Boston College, adding four assists and two steals to his stat line. Joe Rahon chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds in the loss.

Hanlan's stellar season for an Eagles team, that hasn't been able to accomplish much aside from upsetting previously unbeaten Syracuse, continues. Hanlan leads the Eagles with an 18.2 ppg average on 44.4 percent shooting from the floor. His 86 total assists total is second to Rahon's 97, and his 24 steals on the season lead the team. Ryan Anderson is the only other BC player to average a double-digit point total at 14.3 ppg, also sporting a team- leading 7.2 rpg average. The Eagles are netting 68.6 ppg, and giving up 73.4 ppg to opponents.

If there was ever a singular performance to which people could point at as being the reason for a victory, T.J. Warren's 41-point outburst against Pittsburgh would be it. Warren connected on 16-of-22 shooting from the floor in the contest to finish his night with 41 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Pittsburgh led by five points at the intermission, but the Wolfpack, led by Warren, shot 57.7 percent in the second half to cruise past the Panthers. Lennard Freeman chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Warren is one of the more highly profiled players in the ACC this season, and certainly one of the best scorers. His 24.2 ppg average is an ACC high, as the forward is connecting on 52.8 percent of his shot attempts. He also leads the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg) and in total steals (51) on the year. Ralston Turner is the only other player on the Wolfpack to average a point total in double figures, netting 10.1 ppg in 30 games played. Anthony Barber leads the team in assists with 107 on the year.

Warren has been an incredible player for NC State this season, just like Hanlan has for the Eagles. If either one of those players is shut down, the team is in trouble. For NC State, playing at home in this season finale will be a huge momentum boost, and it helps the Wolfpack that Boston College has some scoring issues.
