NCAA Game Summary - Hartford vs. Stony Brook

Albany, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Carson Puriefoy scored 21 points and handed out four assists as the Stony Brook Seawolves defeated the Hartford Hawks 69-64 in the semifinals of the America East Conference Tournament at SEFCU Arena.
Anthony Jackson nailed 4-of-6 from 3-point range and finished with 14 points for the second-seeded Seawolves (23-9), who advance to take on Albany in the championship. Jameel Warney tacked on 10 points.
Corban Wroe netted 21 points and Mark Nwakamma added 16 for the fourth-seeded Hawks (17-16).
Stony Brook connected on 47.8 percent of it shots from the field in the first half and led by a slim 33-31 margin at the break. Hartford only hit on 35.5 percent from the field, but it had eight more field goal attempts than the Seawolves and knocked down six 3-pointers.
In the second half Stony Brook was able to keep the Hawks at bay by sinking 64 percent from the floor.
Hartford lost despite a 22-8 scoring advantage off of turnovers. The Seawolves, who shot at a 56.3 percent clip for the game, had a 33-26 edge on the glass.
