Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - Khalif Wyatt scored 18 points while leading the Temple Owls over the George Washington Colonials, 55-53, in an Atlantic-10 showdown at the Charles E. Smith Center.

Wyatt also dished out four assists and swiped three steals for the Owls (12-4, 2-1 A-10), who won their second in a row. Jake O'Brien added 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting while Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson contributed seven points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.

Isaiah Armwood just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds for the Colonials (7-9, 1-2), who have lost three of their last four games. Armwood was the only GW player to score in double-figures but Dwayne Smith and Bryan Bynes added nine points each off the bench.

It took over four minutes for the Owls to get on the scoreboard in the first half while the Colonials only registered three points during that time. George Washington led 28-18 at the break after holding Temple to just 31.8 percent shooting from the field.

Temple opened up the second half with an 11-3 run and shot 48.1 percent from the floor as the squad outscored the Colonials, 37-25, after the break. The Owls ended the game on a 13-2 run after trailing by nine with 9:27 remaining. In the final seconds, Smith missed a jumper, grabbed the offensive board, and then missed again before Anthony Lee Grabbed the rebound to clinch the win for Temple.

The Colonials shot just 63.2 percent from the free-throw line, making 12-of-19 attempts while the Owls were 11-of-14, shooting at a 78.6 percent efficiency.
