Stopping Home
Gregg Popovich & Tony Parker
The Spurs are 27-5 at home this season.
The San Antonio Spurs attempt to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak, as they host the Boston Celtics tonight at the AT&T Center. This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. On February 10, Paul Pierce poured in 35 points as Boston outlasted San Antonio, 98-90, at TD Banknorth Garden. The Celtics have won two in a row in the series. Boston snapped a 15-game losing streak at San Antonio on March 17, 2007. San Antonio returns home Monday after going winless on a three-game road trip. On Saturday, Andre Miller scored a season-high 32 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to an improbable 103-96 victory over the Spurs at the Wachovia Center. continue>>
Coyotes take playoff quest to Vancouver

With a tough stretch to finish the season, the Coyotes margin of error is just about slim to none. Phoenix will try to make up some ground in the Western Conference tonight in a battle against the Vancouver Canucks at GM Place. The Coyotes are trying to reach the postseason for the first time in five seasons, and trail Vancouver by five points for the final playoff spot in the West. However, Phoenix had a two-game winning streak ended on Saturday with a 5-2 loss against Edmonton. Shane Doan and Mathias Tjarnqvist each had a goal and Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 32-of-36 shots for the Coyotes. Under the current timetable for his recovery, Eaves will not be eligible to return to the club until the opening round of the playoffs at the earliest. continue>>
