Bour has spent 21 games with the Marlins, in which he had 27 at-bats. Miami first baseman Garrett Jones has one year left on his contract, so we will have to see what happens if Jones can play at the big league level in 2015. Bour played well at Triple-A New Orleans, batting .330 with nine homers, 36 RBI and a .969 OPS. There is no pressure on the 26-year old who could be the long-term answer at 1B.8/19/2014 3:15:00 PM
Giancarlo StantonRFMiami right fielder Giancarlo Stanton blasted his 32nd home run of the season and knocked in four to post a career high of 88 RBI.He's also set a career mark for walks at 77. HotHenderson AlvarezSPMarlins right-hander Henderson Alvarez gave up one run on five hits in seven innings Saturday against Arizona to improve to 9-5.Alvarez spent the past two and a half weeks on the disabled list with a shoulder injury, but he didn't miss a beat. With opponents avoiding Giancarlo Stanton in RBI situations, the result has been that McGehee has been in a great spot and has knocked in 60 runs despite hitting just three home runs. The Nationals have held the outfielder out of the lineup for eight of the last nine games due to right shoulder inflammation.
