Alex CobbSPRays starter Alex Cobb left Tuesday's game with a right forearm injury, according to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune.It's being called a tightness in the arm. Jake McGeeRPRays left-hander Jake McGee will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday according to The Tampa Tribune.It will be the first time McGee will be on the mound since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his pitching elbow in December. Drew SmylySPRays starter Drew Smyly will miss his first starts of the 2015 regular season according to The Tampa Tribune.Smyly has shoulder tendinitis, but the Rays are hopeful he will only miss one start. Jake McGeeRPRays left-hander Jake McGee had arthroscopic elbow surgery on Friday and will begin the season on the disabled list, according to Marc Topkin of the Tama Bay Times.McGee well last season going 5-2 with a 1.89 ERA, 0.897 WHIP and 19 saves in 23 opportunities. Chris ArcherSPRays starter Chris Archer pitched seven 2/3 innings and allowed a lone run on three hits and struck out six but lost to Corey Kluber as the Indians defeated the Rays, 1-0.Archer threw 75 of his 111 pitches for strikes and walked two batters. Dellin BetancesRPYankees reliever Dellin Betances admitted to the New York Post on Tuesday that his velocity is "nowhere near where it should be". Betances did get his fastball up to 94 mph on Tuesday, but he was routinely in the mid-to-high 90s during 2014, so he is still expecting to see more velocity. Manager Joe Giradi isn't too concern, saying the velocity should return as Betances pitches more. Jacoby EllsburyCFYankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury will not play the next seven days due to an oblique strain according to the NY Daily News.An MRI on Wednesday revealed the minor strain. Sabathia should be ready to start the season, but he is simply not the player he once was.
